- Placed: the Halliste household book (EAA.1275.1.546 img 70, vol. 291 p. 67) lists Jaan, b. 1 Sep 1842, as a son of Peter Koik (K-022, b. 10 Aug 1806), and research found Peter with a son Jaan at Pajo in 1850. So he was Peeter Koik's first cousin, not his brother.
