Notes
- Grandson of Hans through Jaan ("Johannes")? Or of the unrelated Torma Leokes? Unresolved.
- Tallinn family register vol. 22 p. 561: father JOHANNES, b. 1900; mother VILHELMINE, b. 1905 (WWII refugees database, R26). The only Johannes Leoke b. 1900 found is U-010 (b. 18 Mar 1900 Peningi, son of Hinrik), so he is very probably the father, and Hugo is not a descendant of Hans Leoke unless Hinrik turns out to be related.
- Not the son of the Tallinn Johannes Leoke, son of Gottlieb (U-008), on present evidence: that Johannes's wife was Emilie Rosalie née Bergmann and their child born in Tallinn in July 1929 was a daughter (L411). Hugo's father must be a different Johannes.
