- Parents Johann Koik (b. 1887) and Anna Marie (b. 1899), from the Paistu family register (vol. 4, p. 715). Found by the compiler, 19 Oct 2026.
- Grave: Paistu cemetery XVIII 55 holds Juhan Koik 1887–1972, Anna Koik 1899–1977, Elmar Koik 24.02.1921 – 30.12.1999 and Leida Koik 1916–72, which confirms his death date and gives his parents' deaths.
- Not our Elmar (K-015): different birth date, place and parents. Our Juhan (K-008) was born 1881. A Paistu Koik of the next generation, so possibly a relative of Peeter Koik's family (K-003); not yet linked.
