Jaak, son of Peet, Leoke (“Loeuk”)

c. 1775–1819

Jaak, Peet’s son, was Hans Leoke’s paternal grandfather: a landless lodger on Wardja Matzi farm, born about 1775 and died in 1819. With his wife Greth, Jürri’s daughter, he had Marri, Jürri, Hans and Jaak, Hans Leoke’s father. In the 1826 revision his widow and children carry the surname “Loeuk”, the first appearance of the family name.
