Jaak (Jakob) Meomüttel
1841–1888
Jakob (Jaak) Meomüttel was Hilda’s grandfather. Born at Kudewitte in 1841, he married Kaddri Ruud in 1860; their son Jüri was Hilda’s father. He died at Kivistik on 12 June 1888 (Old Style), aged 47.

- Birth date settled: the baptism entry gives 24 Jun 1841, as the household book does; the earlier "24 Dec" reading of the 1860 marriage list was wrong.
- Other Meomüttels in the household book EAA.1290.1.557 pp. 587–589 (Mari b. 1824; Hans, Mäli and Jüri b. 1847; Jüri's wife Ann née Eisman and daughter Kadri b. 1878) are a separate family, relationship unknown. "Tõnis Meo." and "Kaddi Meo." were sponsors in 1874 (.316 No. 341).
- Earlier, unsuccessful searches: EAA.1290.1.55 Dec 1841 (entries 364–404) and.56 Jan 1842 (entries 1–34); at that time the 1860 marriage list was read as b. 24 Dec 1841 (now superseded; see above). A Mikhel Meomüttel married Madli Pampo at Kudewitte on 29 May 1860 (EAA.1290.1.83 image 27, No. 72): relationship unknown, perhaps a brother.
