Jüri Meomüttel

1861–1927

Jüri Meomüttel was Hilda’s father and Pilvi’s grandfather. Born at Kudewitte on Viljandi manor in 1861, the son of Jakob Meomüttel and Kaddri née Ruud, he married Ann Paltser in 1885 (Old Style) and was a laborer at Kivistik in 1896. He died on 22 July 1927.

Notes

Death entry: "Jüri Meomüttel, Anu mees, müürisepp" (Ann's husband, bricklayer), d. 22 Jul 1927, 1 p.m., buried 25 Jul, aged 65 (EAA.1290.1.556 img 265, pp. 259–260, deaths No. 163; SL-83). The household book 1900–1936 (EAA.1290.1.557 img 283) agrees, and gives his wife's death as "†1940 7/III". No grave found on kalmistud.ee.
Earlier files gave the marriage as 24 Dec 1885: that is the betrothal date (12 Dec O.S.) converted to New Style.
