Research notes
- Confidence: High: baptism and marriage agree.
- Maiden name: the marriage entry reads "Rantsus" (written with a long s, so it can look like "Rantfus"); "Ranthus" in our earlier files was probably a misreading of the same name. Rantsus preferred.
- Birth date: baptism and marriage entries both give 24 Sep 1844. The household books (27 Sep) and the Karksi residents list (21 Sep) are wrong.
- Widowed in January 1896 at 51. Died 9 Mar 1926 at Karksi manor; her age at death matches her baptism exactly. Earlier notes wrongly had her alive in 1927 because the residents list was not updated. Cause of death: low-confidence reading only.
