Research notes

  • Confidence: Good.
  • Family registers: Kõo vald vol. 3 p. 332; Viljandi town vol. 7 p. 15 (father Jüri b. 1861, mother Ano b. 1857). Exile card L215: housewife (kodune), husband Elmar, Windsheim Oberntiefer(?) Str. 562.
  • The pencilled note "[number withheld] Chicago 7-1-55" on the typed emigration list (US09, p. 182) sits between Hilda's line (378) and the next passenger's, Roman Lenczyckj (379), whose destination was Chicago. It may well be his. Earlier notes credited it to Hilda and to L212; L212 has no such note. Unproven either way: check whose is (LE-05).
